Today we are putting to the test: the Maybelline instant age rewind concealer for dark circles.
We will get to determine if it’s worth the fuss and whether it lasts at the end of a 12 hour wear day.
I went ahead and picked up two shades to make sure that we’re going to get one that matches. So the first one I’m going to use here is Fair. But just in case I got back up in the shade Light.
If you’ve never used this stuff before then, you are in the same boat as me, and we’re going to be experiencing this together.
The package says that there is a treatment in it, that helps with dark circles and puffiness in addition to the concealer that covers them up.
The dark circle eraser is protected with an anti-microbial system. And you are not supposed to wet the applicator.
You’re supposed to twist the top to get the product out. The first time that you use it you have to twist it several times,
I immediately liked applicator a lot. I don’t have to touch my face, and I don’t have to use an extra brush to apply it. The application of my first I over here when you apply it has a cooling effect on the skin. Also, the coverage seems to be superb just before the next step. So I’m taking a damp Beauty Blender sponge here and blending it in underneath the eyes. Blend right in.
Also, I’m happy to tell you that the Fair shade was a color match. Which means, in this case, the lightest shade in the display did match me., and I am satisfied knowing I can go ahead and return the Light version.
Holy cannoli, The coverage is beautiful!
Although This is a very sheer application, and there’s not much product applied; You can tell by comparing it to the other eye.
Next, I am setting the under eyes with the Cody Airspun translucent powder.
I’m not baking in it, but only doing a light dusting under the eyes. So far, I am extremely happy with the application and coverage with this concealer.
How did it wear after 12 hours?
While I applied this at 8 a.m. the day, and I came back and did a check-in around 7:30 at night, The results speak for themselves. It did not crease; it didn’t move, didn’t budge, didn’t wear away. It looked fantastic for a drugstore concealer.
You would expect this to be a high-end product. I even pushed it further and tested out the Maybelline instant age rewind dark circle concealer in the gym while working out, for about an hour. That day, I did some light cardio, and some strength training did sweat a lot and let’s not even forget to mention the 90 degrees down here but still no movement or whatsoever underneath my eyes.
I can already tell this is going to be one of my go-to favorites for the summer months.
I hope that this experience did fulfill all those questions for you. You can also find below a promising review on Amazon if you would like to check it out, please see the link below
“My favorite concealer of all time! I was originally using the Becca coverage concealing creme spending $30+. I then was introduced to this concealer and have stopped using Becca! I have saved a lot of money and I still get the coverage I need! You do not need to apply a lot. I use this concealer everyday under my eyes and it has lasted me 2 months! LOVE LOVE!” Stephanie Lopez-Sepulveda
